Wow these are really great designs especially one nation magazine. This list should be an inspiration to all magazine websites, other magazine sites should take note from this list on how to actually make magazine sites. Magazines are meant to glossy and colourful, but it really depends on the subject of the magazine, I’m impressed that the design matches the subject.

Jon: I guess different design principles have to apply based on the medium, but I agree that web designs containing elements of print design can work very well.

There is some great design here – but it’s great web design. I’m still waiting for online consumer magazines to start maintaining the same values as print magazines – so they feel like a magazine and not like a blog/newsletter…

I know it is possible – I work on them (unfortunately this is for internal company use and I can’t provide links)
